EANA comprises 30 European news agencies

Baltic News Service (BNS) in Tallinn, Estonia and Tanjug in Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro are new members of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA). EANA thereby comprises 30 European news agencies.
Applications for membership from the above mentioned news agencies were recently approved by EANA´s Annual General Assembly held in Geneva.
The assembly elected Mr Gilbert Grellet, Director of External Relations and Partnerships at AFP in Paris to be member of EANA´s Bureau for three years. Mr Grellet has been a co-opted Bureau member since the beginning of 2003.
Mr Erik Nylén, Stockholm, was re-elected Secretary General of EANA for another three years.
The EANA Bureau comprises the following members:

Mr Paul Tesselaar, Managing Director, ANP, The Hague
Mr Mikhail Gusman, First Deputy Director General, ITAR-TASS, Moscow
Mr Gilbert Grellet, Director of External Relations and Partnerships, AFP, Paris
