Mr Gilbert Grellet co-opted as Bureau member

The Bureau of the European Alliance of News Agencies has decided to co-opt Mr Gilbert Grellet, AFP, as Bureau member until the General Assembly in Geneva on September 25-26, 2003. Mr Grellet is Director of External Relations and Partnerships at AFP.

The Bureau´s decision was taken in accordance with the EANA statutes in a situation when a position as Bureau member becomes vacant between two General Assemblies. Mr Giuseppe Cerbone had left the Bureau when he early 2003 left ANSA.

This means that the EANA Bureau has the following members:

Mr Uffe Riis Sorensen, Ritzaus Bureau, President of EANA
Mr Paul Tesselaar, ANP
Mr Mikhail Gusman, ITAR-TASS
Mr Gilbert Grellet, AFP
Mr Erik Nylén, Secretary General of EANA
